Client area. Not working after forum upgrade to 3.3.1


Hi,

I am using Nexus version 1.3.1 and everything was working as intended.

Recently I upgraded to 3.3.1 and now Nexus only works once in a while. Meaning that whenever I access the client area most of the times I cannot see the details of my purchases while some rare cases it will open just fine.

I really hate having to renew my license to Nexus because the forum upgrade broke its functionality.

I already had to renew the license for IP.Downloads to get version 2.5.0 since the upgrade also broke the application and no patch was made available for version 2.4.1. Had to manually patch the most recent IP.Download version to get things working again.

Nexus is even more expensive. I am not happy with this situation, my community is not happy with situation.

Every time an upgrade is done, we have fear of whatever bad things will come and this is not good.


I will continue to be vocal about this matter since it is a recurring issue. I really hope that IPB is not hoping to get further license renewal by consistently breaking functionality on other apps.


Right now Nexus is working bad. I paid good money for a service that is now broken or am forced to renew the license to get it fixed.

As I have mentioned in your other bug report:


Your IPB license allows you to have a live installation and a test one, next time make a copy of your site somewhere and test an upgrade there to find those kind of issues before upgrading your live installation.

As a general rule when you upgrade IPB itself you should always upgrade all the applications as well to the last version, especially when upgrading to a new major version of IPB.




EDIT: considering that nexus is an application that deals with money, when possible, you should always upgrade to the latest version for it regardless in order to have all current bug fixes. This is what I usually suggest.
