I keep switching user groups

Not sure if this is an IPB issue or an issue with the site (or an issue at all).
However, I've noticed that every other hour or so I am in the 'contributors' user group. Two hours later I am no longer in it.
The first few times I saw this happen I just thought someone was playing with my permissions and ignored it but it's happened at-least 4-5 times (that i've noticed.)
At the time of posting this I am no longer in contributors however, about an hour ago I actually made a post in that section entitled 'test'.
Not quite sure how you guys do it but I feel as if someone manually moved me into the group and the cron job or task (or whatever) keeps seeing I have no marketplace submissions and kicks me out. In which case it's not a big deal.
I could care less what group I'm in but I just saw it as abnormal behavior so I figured I would report it instead of letting a potentially huge bug fall through
