Cannot connect to board for no reason

For some reason the boards.base_url becomes unsynced with the current page causing statically generated links such as VNC and view notifications to not work.

Possible an issue related to switching boards in the same tab and the board associated with the base history item not being reassigned.
Particularly nasty due to the 2.0.0 bug stoping users from closing the last tab.
