Album Manager

The album manager can be accessed from Admin CP --> My Apps --> Gallery --> Album Manager and can be used to manage all user-created albums in your gallery.

You will see a table which lists all albums in the gallery along with who owns them and some statistics. Using the options from the dropdown, you can edit, delete, empty or bulk import to the album.

Below the list of albums there is an option to create an album.
When creating or editing an album, you can specify the name, owner and description and also what category the album is in, how images should be sorted by default and whether it is public or not. Albums that are no public can only be viewed by the owner, and the community moderators and administrators.

There is also a tool to search for a specific album.

In various places throughout the album manager you will see the option to rebuild or resynchronise albums, images and thumbnails. These functions are for advanced users and can be ignored by most.

This is nearly useless as documentation. I came here looking for information about the "Album Owner" field and how it interacts with the "Parent" field. I've got a lot of albums that were imported without a value in the "Album Owner" field and as a result don't show up in the Album node tree (yes, I rebuilt the node tree). If I search for the album I can edit it and SET and "Album Owner" then it shows up in the "Temp" album. But I can't assign any other "Parent" to the album to move it out from under "Temp". None of the documentation in the Gallery section here seems to have useful information about actually configuring the Gallery for use.

It also does not indicate what version of IP.Gallery it applies to and it contains info that no longer seems to be applicable to the current version as there ARE no more "categories" and that still seems to be in the documentation?
