Store Settings: Custom Package Fields


Custom Package Fields can be used to allow the user to provide extra information when purchasing an item.
For example, if you are selling T-Shirts, you might want to create a custom field to allow customers to select a color or size.

Custom Package Fields can be managed from Admin CP --> My Apps --> IP.Nexus --> Custom Package Fields.

To create a new field, click "Add Field". You can edit or delete an existing field using the buttons on the right, and you can reorder fields by clicking and dragging the arrow icon on the left.

When adding or editing a field you will need to specify a name, type, applicable packages and additional options such as if it is required on purchase.
The available field types are:
  • Text
    This will provide a textbox in which the user can enter custom text. This may be used if selling digital software to provide a URL where the software is installed, for example.
  • Dropdown
    This will display a dropdown of pre-definied options for the user to choose from. This may be used to allow the customer to select the color or size of an item, for example. If you choose this option, you should enter the options you wish to be available in the textbox below.
  • Username & Password
    This will display two text boxes in which the user can enter a username and password. This may be used if selling digital software to allow the customer to provide access to their installation, for example.FTP Information
    This will display a number of text boxes allowing the user to provide FTP credentials. This may be used if selling digital software to allow the customer to provide access to their installation, for example.
