Payment gateways are the providers such as PayPal which process the payment for a purchase.
Each gateway can have multiple methods (for example, the "Manual Payments" gateway has methods "Bank wire" and "Check").
Setting up methods
You will need to set up the pre-existing methods. To do this, simply click on a method name and fill in the custom settings.
For example, for the PayPal method, you will need to fill in your PayPal Email address.
Make sure you click on the method name, which is displayed in the lighter rows, opposed to the gateway name.
If you do not wish to use any method, you can delete it using the icon on the right, or just disable it by clicking the tick icon (which will turn into a cross).
Adding more methods
To add an additional method, click the plus icon on the right of the gateway you wish to add it to.
For example, you want to add a "Cash" option, you would click the plus icon next to "Manual payments".
Fill in the options as normal.
Finding Transactions
Under the menu on the right for each gateway and method, there is a "Find Transactions" button. This will display all the transactions which have been processed by that gateway or method.
Editing Gateways
The gateway as a whole can be edited to change the name or specify whether it can handle pay outs (as well as incoming payments). While most users will never need to use this, it is also used to turn on "Test Mode" if supported by the gateway.
To edit the settings on a gateway, simply click on the gateway name.
