System: System Offline / Online

Admin CP --> System --> System Settings --> System Offline / Online.
These settings will allow you to turn your entire community online or offline. You may wish to use this feature when upgrading your community or doing other maintenance. Using Member Group settings you can specify which Member Groups can bypass this setting (such as administrators) who would be able to see your community even in an "offline" state.
You can type a friendly message in the text area provided to give your community visitors a reason for the offline message or any other information you might want to present. This will be displayed to anyone who tries to access your community excluding those with bypass privilege of course.
