This article assumes you are logged into the community using an account with super moderator privileges. If your account is a forum-level moderator, the Administrator of the community may choose to restrict certain functions so not all options may be available.
Forum View
On the forum view page, where the topic titles are listed, you can perform various actions on a topic or multiple topics. When a moderator runs their mouse over a topic they see the functions shown in the noted area:
The icons allow the moderator to rename, delete, pin, and close the topic respectively. Note the cursor pointing to the check box next to each topic. You can select multiple topics this way and then go to the bottom of the forum listing page to use the drop-down menu:
This feature allows moderator to perform common actions on multiple topics at one time.
Reading a Topic
When reading a topic a moderator has various options which they can perform either on the individual posts or on the topic as whole. Under each post, the moderator will see a row of options:
These options allow a moderator to delete or edit the individual post. (Note that the first post in a Topic cannot be deleted.) There's also an option to approve/unapprove a post. By unapproving a post the post will be hidden to all members except moderators and administrators (the same holds true for topics). When a forum or topic has hidden posts/topics within it, a message and icon will be shown to visually identify those areas to a moderator. Below is an example.
Note the checkbox in the upper right corner of each post. Much like a topic, you can select multiple posts and perform various actions on those multiple posts.
