If you are using IP.Blog, you can enable Akismet integration which is a third party service to prevent blog comment spam.
To set up Akismet integration, first visit the Akismet website and register for an API key.
Once you have obtained your API key, go to Admin CP --> System --> System Settings --> IPS Apps --> IP.Blog Settings and enter your key in the "Akismet spam protection' setting.
The setting just below that, "Action to take for flagged spam' must also be configured. This is the action that IP.Blog will take if Akismet reports that a comment might be spam.
That is all you need to do to set up Akismet with IP.Blog.
