Skin error, or something worse?

Hello,

When I first started my forum I had the side bars, (i.e. status updates, recent topics). Everything worked perfectly, without any problems. After a while I installed the 'News bar'. It worked fine, but after a while, I realised that the sidebar widgets had disappeared.

I've tried a few things, (such as rebuilding the skin sets), but it doesn't seem to make any effect.

Has anyone ever experienced this or think they can help me out?

Thank you.

Introducing something fresh.

Hi guys,
I am proud to be able to present you my submission to the IPB Skin Design Contest: Greenline.

We had pretty much bad luck. I worked together with a coder, and he couldnīt finish the coding till today. So we currently have just previews and no screenshots of the user profile etc., a few things are missing as well. But I think you get a good impression of what it looks like, and it wonīt change much within the coding process, really

Here it is.

I really thought a lot about what could be improved before I started working on the skin. I looked carefully at every detail and read many different opinions about the current default IPB skin from users.

When designing the skin, I tried to follow the direction of the default skin. It isn't cluttered, it looks very nice and remains professional and easy to use.

I wanted to go into the same direction: Light, beautiful, professional and usable. As you can see in the overview, we still made many improvements and really refined every element over and over until it was perfect.

Another advantage of the skin is, that thanks to many reordered elements - Skinner's have another, different base to start off with their skins.

I worked together with a very skilled developer and we achieved to make the most of the changes through css only. Okay, we needed to edit the template for a few of our improvements but I think that is worth it. It is still very easy to change colors and more for both Skinner's and "normal forum owners".

Overview.
Topics.
Posts.

So, I am excited know. What do you think?

Member list view skewed

I was hoping soneone would kindly advise?

My boards member list is skewed and I think I know where abouts in the coding it's arising from but I don't know what to add to it or change to correct it.

I think it's coming from the below which is in ipb.profile.css

.other_contact dt, .about_contact dt, .info dt, .user_info dt, #gen_board-info dt {
font-weight: bold;
padding: 6px 0px;
clear: both;
width: 100px;
}

.other_contact dd, about_contact dd, .info dd, .user_info dd, #gen_board-info dd {
padding: 6px 0px;
width: 60%;
}

It is showing as this on the board. The number of views information slightly falls outside of the box so is obscurred.

Any help much appreciated.

Which template controls the User Control panel?

I have looked in the template area and have found the templates that control bits and pieces of the panel, but can't seem to find the one that puts them all together..

I have added the bottombar mod and would like the setting for this to be moved to the bottom of the General Settings list and just can't seem to find what I am looking for.

Here is the way the control panel looks now:

And this is what I am trying to achieve:

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks!
