I try for example to post a .wmv file to my gallery.
I logged in as an admin and can access the Admin CP
I even tried to allow all user groups everything without any limits anywhere.
I 3 double checked my mime settings and it shows being set to allow .wmv and .mov files to post.

The file I try to post is 4.3 MB in size and my php.ini file allows me to post 6 MB
But I keep getting the sentence that I am not allowed to post such filetype, pls contact an admin or try using the help files :(

Im admin but speakless ....... what am I doing wrong or what setting do I miss??

ok, looked into mine gallery_mime_types.php and found the quicktime but not the .wmv file type so added it manually.
Gotta try ...... just a quick post here first.

But then ...... whats the Amin CP for??
It lets you think you can add mime types in their but really have to add them manually in the php file anyway, or its an bug or that setting can be removed from the Admin CP

crap, now I get this message:
Failed to write the image to disk, please contact an administrator

Then I looked with my ftp program and saw 2 files from exactly the same filesize off this .wmv file.
So I went to the Orphan Scanner to see if it can find those 2 files (both spend enough webspace I guess) but it didnt saw them.
However it found all my other pictures from just mine album while their are a couple albums from regular members as well.

I am so stupid to hit the clean button .............. whole album gone together with their comments !!!
I think im gonna remove the links to the gallery at my website untill the next update that works on my IPB 2.0.0 forum.

Think its bedtime for me,

goodnight

Ya I had posted earlier about the orphans bug.
BTW: it didn't delete the actual files... just the DB references to them.

I would say leave gallery on there... just wait for the next release to start using the tools more in depth :P
