Invision Power Services, Inc. is pleased to announce its partnership with ParaChat to provide the new IPS Chat system.

We have switched to this new system to offer more stability and lower prices to our customer base - including the often requested ability to purchase the chat at a monthly rather than yearly price. We will also be able to offer much better support services when you might have questions.

Our new chat system even offers a totally free version of the service! Although this free version does not integrate with Invision Power Board it is great if you need a simple chat service for your web site.

Prices for the Advanced service which does offer board integration starts at just $7.95 per month or $55.95 per year. There are several low-cost service packages to choose from.

For our enterprise-level customers you can also purchase a chat server application to run on your own system. This eliminates the need to connect to IPS servers to load your chat room from our server. It also allows much greater flexibility.

It is important to note that the new IPS Chat service only integrates with Invision Power Board 2.0.0 and above.

Current Chat Customers

If you have purchased the old Invision Power Chat in the last 60 days you can convert to our new chat service at no cost for eight months of service. All other customers of our old chat system will be able to switch to the new service and receive one month free.

We're very excited about this change which brings many advantages and opens a whole new range of admin control panel based options that weren't possible with the previous system.

You can now edit the basic colours right from IPB's admin control panel as well as add custom settings on-the-fly. This makes integrating the chat into your own colour scheme so much easier and is a very welcome addition.

You'll also see that there are no longer any "click credits" for showing the user's online chatting. This means that this feature is now FREE! No longer do you have to suffer 10 minute delays between updates. You can now set it as low as two minutes between updates. This was the most highly requested "wish" from our customers and we're pleased that this change finally allows this.

The chat admin control panel has also been beefed up and allows for MUCH more control right from the chat applet. In use, this is a real time saver and the new options are very welcome.
