I have had them a few times. But this one is a bit different. The SPAM actually tells people to go visit Message Boards, join and then post the same message on those boards. Like a Pyramid Scheme for Spammers.

I am posting the edited content for our members here as well as the IP address (69.166.223.249). Username that was used on my site was janesripper. Email address was one of those Freebie Yahoo addresses.

I share this ONLY for information of those here. If you seen this/know about this already...sowreee...as well if this violates posting policy...apologies in advance.

Just trying to help that's all.

The Post was entitled:

Make Money With PayPal

Quote

A little while back I was browsing through a news group, just like you are now and came across an article similar to this that claimed you could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00.
So I thought, "Yeah right, this must be a scam.", but like most of us I was curious so I kept reading. Everyone has heard about Pay Pal (The simplest way of paying or receiving payment, safe an secure, online.) and when I came across this concept I knew it would work, because as a member of Pay Pal, I have already experienced their efficiency and excellent standing. Anyone with an email address can join for FREE. Please read further before you go there...You can complete this whole process within an hour. Everything is done on the internet and by email, and if you bide by the rules it is not SPAM, so it is perfectly legal. Anyway it said that you send $1 through Pay Pal to each of the emails stated in the article. You then place your own email address at the bottom of the list at no. 6 and post the article in at least 200 news groups. So after thinking it over an talking to a few people first, who thought that I was nuts, I thought about trying it. I figured what have I got to lose except $6 right? I was a little skeptical and a little nervous about the legal aspects of it. It follows the same regulation as the mail chain letters, which, according to the US post office is illegal. And I invested my measly $6.
Well guess what? Within 7 days, I started getting money into my Pay Pal account! I was shocked and thought that it would end soon, but the money just kept rolling in. In my first week I made about $25 and by the 3rd I had a total of $2000. In my forth week, I have managed $10 000 and it is still coming in rapidly.

Let me tell you how it works. (Print this page so that you can access the info as you need it.)

Requirements

you must have a verified Pay Pal account. Go to http://www.DO NOT DO IT.com/us/mrb/pal=NOSUCHCHANCY and set up an account for free, how ever, if you are a new member to papal, you'll have to get your account verified to start making or receiving payments, this may take a couple of days, depending on your circumstances. * Pay Pal is an EBay subsidiary and is 100% secure and is being used by millions of people.

Step 1 - Send through Pay Pal $1.00 to each of the members on the list below. Make the subject of the payment 'Email List' and in the comments put 'PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR EMAIL LIST.' What you are doing by this, is creating a service and you don't have to give your address to someone you don’t know. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE STATEMENT IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. DO NOT FORGET TO WRITE IT!!!!!!

Email List

1 - ******@sbcglobal.net
2 - ******@aol.com
3 - ******@netzero.net
4 - ******@hotmail.com
5 - ******@yahoo.com
6 – ******@yahoo.com

Step 2 - Now take the first email off the list and move the other addresses up so that 6 becomes 5, 5 go to 4 and so on. When you are finished, put your email address at no 6. (This must be the email that you use for your Pay Pal account.)

Step 3 - Change anything you need to this article so it fits your bill, but try to keep it as near as the original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 newsgroups/message boards. There are about 32,000 of these things, you only need 200 though, but, the more you send the more money you will make. Now, copy this letter to a note/WordPad and put your own name on the list in pos. 6, and save your file as a txt. File.

Step 4 - Use Netscape or Internet explorer and search for newsgroups. Example, go to your search engine of choice and search the subjects, millionaire message board, money making message board, employment message board, money making discussions, money making forum or make money quick etc. You'll find 1000's of these message boards. Click on them 1 by 1, and on each one, locate the post new message option

Step 5 - Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message, by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the subject, this will be the header that everybody sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the 'post message' button.

You are done with your first 1. Please be honest and it will truly work for you. Good Luck!

naaahhhh

Get rich quick schemes usually suck.

Besides I already have a VERY good income.

Just thought I would forewarn fellow board owners...but instead I'll just send the spammers to Motley's site..

As long as sixty years ago, when I first started to read newspapers, I read of floods on the Yellow River and the Yangtze. Who rushed in with men and money to help? The Americans did. They have helped control floods on the Nile, the Amazon, the Ganges and the Niger. Today, the rich bottom land of the Misssissippi is under water and no foreign land has sent a dollar to help.

we must never forget

Maybe you two should Google part of the post, find it on another forum, join, and take part in the scheme yourselves, come back here and tell us how you did. ;)

Pyramid schemes only work if you can convince others to cough up some dough. You start out spending money, and if your spam gets to enough people, you can make a return, but it's not guaranteed. By taking part in these schemes, you only guarantee money for the spammers who posted them.

By the way, AFAIK pyramid schemes are illegal in the United States. ;)

I hate spammers. I ban them them on my board.
