Hard to word the question, but as i'm moving server, i have my current site up using the "real" domain, and a temporary domain on the new server, where i've installed 2.1

i've edited every reference to the domain in the conf table, and also in the conf_global.php file, but it STILL tries to log in using the 'real' domain name... am i just missing a reference or is the domain hardcoded to the install?

Nobody knows this ? Maybe I'm missing an entry on where the board url is kept...

I've changed all the entires i've seen in the ibf_conf table (seems to echo whats in the ACP) and the conf file in the forum root, have i missed one...

I know you're allowed to run a test forum, do you have to download a version that doesn't have a key embedded then, as it seems to be that its hardcoded....

The only place the board URL is (other than for the uploads directory) stored is in the conf_global.php file - this is what all the links on the board follow. If this has been changed correctly then it should be fine.

Hmph, I still can't work out what the problem is..

conf_global.php states:

$INFO['board_url']			=	'http://www.mytempdomain.net/~swmhxc/forum';

which is correct, but when trying to log in the forum (its turned off currently, altho i changed teh db entry from 1 to 0 on this and it hasn't turned on for some reason, the db is DEFINITELY working as i changed the desc tag on the board offline display)

*arrgh!*
