I enabled friendly URL's for my sites blogs but whenever I access the blog via the friendly URL, it doesn't properly load the light blue gradiant image. It has the blog name up top, but next to that is a blue strip, and the part where the calander date, last entry, etc... are show up effectively blank (white text on white background). The check friendly URL link shows my settings are right, but it's still not loading the graphic...

I tried rebuilding all blog options, still no effect, I checked the source code between this site (which works) and mine (which doesn't) and the source codes are WAY different even tho both blogs are effectively sitting there empty...

Did you set the Image URL variable? You can find it in general configuration. Set it to http://yourboardurl/
When set rebuild your skin templates.

If that doesn't work, rebuild the Blog master templates from the AdminCP blog tools section. Then rebuild your skin templates.

The img URL is set, and I rebuilt everything I could rebuild under the blog section twice. The page code for my site is WAY different from the code this site produces both for blank blogs. My site seems to produce the same code as if not friendly enabled. All images in my site code seem like they're assuming root index.php not blog/name/index.php

I did already. Posted this here in the hopes that I had done something stupidly obvious and there was a quick fix for it

Daft question, but where is this mythical "image URL" setting in General Configuration? :)

I'm running 2.0.4 and there's no setting like that listed in my ACP settings.

Ah so it's not just me. :) I've looked high and low for this setting and I'm now certain that it's not anywhere obvious. Perhaps this refers to a setting in 2.1?

The Image URL setting is in IPB's General Configuration.

Where exactly? It's certainly not on my general config page.

I get:

---
Board name
Website name
Website address
---
Upload url
path to upload directory
[page redirection options]
debug level
Enable SQL Debug Mode
Use Safe Mode Skins?
number formatting

There's no mention of an image path in there at all.

hi arnie,

here exactly:

-->  AdminCP --> Tools & Settings --> General Configuration ...scroll down to 'Other URLs and Paths'  there you will find the "IMAGE URL" setting (they just set http://www.mydomain.com/)

...and everything is fine now :))

Hmm I don't have that on my settings page at all. I have an "Upload URL" setting here, but not one for images.

I'm about to do a huge upgrade here from 2.0.4 to 2.1 (including updating Blog and Gallery) then adding all my additions back in again, so no doubt that'll fix things.

If you don't have the Image URL; you probably missed it in a upgrade somewhere. Upgrading to 2.1 will fix it.

Did you guys ever get this resolved?  I have the same problem.  It only effects friendly urls - it works fine on the board generated urls
