I didn't say it in my last post, but it's amazing the Stargate series has gone on as long as it has. I watched both Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, all the way through, in chronological order, and was amazed with both, particularly DS9, but both could have gone on for a few more seasons... but it seems Star Trek has a seven season limit, because that's as far as TNG, DS9, and VOY all go, despite room for further continuation.
So to me, that means that when (if) I do start watching Stargate from downloads/torrents, it will go on longer... it will take longer to watch, but it took me 4-5 months to watch each Trek series, so I'm prepared for a long haul. We don't have TV (well, broadcast... we don't have cable), and I absolutely hate watching a 45 minute program in a one hour time slot, with ads in between, and not being able to pause it or skip the opening credits. It's a terribly inefficient way to watch a show, and if you don't want to miss anything, it's problematic for a few reasons. I can honestly say that I watched every bit of those Deep Space Nine and Voyager episodes, and saw every scene.
