I don't really like to discuss private messages in public (the name "private" is in the title after all) however I can say that I'm waiting on a response. :)

We are willing to donate a license to the JFusion team for the purposes of maintaining IP.Board integration in their product, if they are interested.
A huge apology on my behalf brandon for my PM reply that was pretty vague in detail. I was meaning to send you a more detailed pm, but I started a new job at the time of our discussion and unfortunately forgot to reply. I'll send you a pm now and hopefully I can get IPB support included in jfusion very soon.

Thanks, Marius

Any progress? I'm very very very interested in making IP.board the leading user database for my Joomla website!

Hello,

If Jfusion gives support for IPB with Joomla. Just like now with VB.
Then i will make the step to go from vBulletin to IPB.

If anybody of vBulletin reads this; you have destroyed a 10 year relationship!

I believe jFusion is working on the plugin.  You should inquire on their website as to any estimated time frame. :)

Just reading this thread I am slightly confused as I visited jFusion and they don t seem to be developing the IPB plugin but I thought IPB had agreed to give them a licence and some help with this?

Are IPB themselves working on a means to achieve integration with IPB 3.0.5 and Joomla? as I have both and would love a means of integration and providing more functionality between the two in terms of removal of duplicating information, user logins etc seems a shame as there seems to be a huge opportunity to create something big here as both are hugely popular.

We have indeed donated a license, and as far as I know, they're working on a plugin (or will begin working on one).  As I said, you'd have to contact them to find out any estimates for release and so forth.

We have a Joomla converge module which you can use, if you prefer.

this thing is not working and nobody wont help you! ive been ask help many times, but no luck so far.. i have active license.. but ipc joomla is community project so anyone not help you, so if you want integrate forum with joomla, dont use IPB.. you can integrate all others popular forums with joomla except ipb.

and another solution is wait something 1-2 years and jfusion doing integration plugin.

IPB was extremely generous by providing us with a testing license in order for us to maintain an IPB JFusion plugin.

Not sure where you are getting the 1-2 years wait time from helari. Most likely IPB support will be included in the next JFusion release, which will take a couple of weeks (working on other features as well as IPB support) and not years.

Thanks, Marius

Hello,
What is the status been a few months the converge method is not what most people want since they might use joomla as the front page and IPB as forum . since most peoples forums is already established and more people go to jommla because the scalability in others words great front page skins etc ..and people like me who have been using IPB for years .. want to use IPB for the user database anyway whats the word

Your best bet is to ask over at the jFusion site.  We do not maintain integrations with third party solutions in house, so you would have to contact the people who are planning to do that.  It is possible to do this with Converge, but again, that's not something we would do here ourselves.

I never had IPB as you see. I'm not customer. About migration I don't know anything, I used Joomla before and expanded it with forum kunena. I was looking foward here to see some bridge.

I'll pm you with more info.
