Post a picture of your monitors? That's a really wide screen you must have. original.gif

I'll see if I can grab a photo when I get home. I had a photo with my new desk and monitors, but appearantly deleted it off my webspace whistling.gif They're 1680x1050 22" monitors, times two. Couldn't quite afford the 24" Dells I wanted, but then again, these support composite, svideo, component, VGA, and DVI-D as well as having OK-ish speakers. Come in real handy for LAN parties and for bringing over an extra screen for any type of AV input. They were a massive upgrade from my 10 year old refurbished-and-used-when-I-got-it 19" CRT whos power button didn't want to work pinch.gif

For those that wish it, a photo of my desk. Bit on the grainy and yellowish side since I didn't use the flash and was using incandescents. Also included a before shot so you can realize what I was cramped in.

Before on the left, after on the right.

Aren't those monitors too close to you? I couldn't stand them that close. My monitor is about 4 feet back from my seat.

Mine (19"W) is about 9" away from me, and I couldn't really stand it being any further away! Guess it all depends on what you're used to - I'm used to using a laptop so being quite close to it! My desk is also only about 2' deep, so I'd struggle to reach if I was sat 4' back! shifty.gif

I'm probably about a metre away from from my screens. 2m if I am playing on my xbox 360. As for my old iBook I use to use at about 30cm away.

I sit a bit further back than in that photo (not much because of the media cabinet/nightstand). I usually prefer them close, but sometimes move them a bit. Besides, it's abit of a handy storage area behind the monitors wink.gif My best friend will literally get so close his nose almost touches the monitor. I wish I had more room. That bit of comforter in the lower right of the "New" shot is my bed, which is a futon that I can't even lay down.

There seem to be many hundreds of wallpapers on that website, do you have a direct link? If not then I'll scout through them, but as of yet my efforts have proved useless.

Just in case you didn't know; I'm looking for that lava-type one.
