Now, first I don't play WoW...but I know some people who do, and I hate how it takes over people's lives. I mean, I'm not a fan of any MMORPG - but this is just insane...

You don't need to play WoW to find this hilarious, you just need to pretty much know what it is.

Now, for those who don't play - I asked a friend of mine who does, and he says 5000 gold is worth about $800USD. $800 to sleep with that lady? Prostitutes look much better, and are much cheaper...

I just noticed you can rate users in their profiles, and that I have a two. I feel quite honored, however I am currently striving for a one. VOTE ME DOWN!

lmfao...........I don't even know what there is to say about that...
"Rarity by itself shouldn't necessarily be evidence of anything. When one is dealt a bridge hand of thirteen cards, the probability of being dealt that particular hand is less than one in 600 billion [1 in 6 x 1011]. Still, it would be absurd for someone to be dealt a hand, examine it carefully, calculate that the probability of getting it is less than one in 600 billion, and then conclude that he must not have been [randomly] dealt that very hand because it is so very improbable." -John Allen Paulos, Innumeracy: Mathematical Illiteracy and Its Consequences

laughing.gif well that is one way to get the gold I suppose, I'm struggling to get the cash for my non-flying epic mount (well I was before I cancelled my account) yet alone a flying one, some people take the game way too seriously.

Someone just said to me
QUOTE
could be an idea for a t-shirt design. "WWYD For an Epic Mount?"

Well it made me chuckle wink.gif

Well, I've been a player ever since release, I've quit a couple of times, but the normal you see isn't always the normal everyone else sees. Captain Obvious comment, but people like to do different things.

This story really makes me laugh though, someone KINDA selling themselves for in game money. I don't see how you could consider her a prostitute since the figures of $800 bucks are if he actually paid for the gold, which is against the TOS. 5000 gold is easy to come by if you spend enough time playing at maximum level.

Altogether, this story has a happy ending for both parties involved. tongue.gif

Oh we're all equal now .. aside from the racial abilities. Horde = Overpowered lol

But nah, had my friends not started Alliance in the beginning, I'd be horde myself. BUT, having a 70 rogue and 68 (right now) paladin, I'm kind-of a walking thottbot for quests. I'd also have 4 70's had I not deleted characters in their 30's due to aesthetics. lol

And I agree with ya andy, it is odd behavior, but Captain Obvious prevails again with different strokes, different folks. original.gif

You could argue that about money too, value is not objective. tongue.gif

But people still hold value to those items. There is a huge market over MANY games for these imaginary items... kinda weird I know, but yeah it's there. tongue.gif

What do yo mean nevermind? (looks at start of thread) Of course you can!

That's my point. I was saying you could use 'real' money to do that, instead of buying 'fake' items, but the opposite of that was going on already.
