I know this is really pushing it but does anyone know of any UK car rental places that will do car hire for a twenty year old (ie. me!). I could really do with it! Looked everywhere but it just looks like I'll have to find an alternative. Seems the minimum age is about 23, 21 with a surcharge.

I don't have any interest in cars myself, so I wouldn't be able to advise. I am aware of a friend of mine who paid twice the normal amount to rent a car for going between home and uni, although I'd have to ask him where and what company it was. =)

You can sometimes find more local car rental firms who will rent to under 21, enterprise used to but they don't anymore.

There was one company in Sheffield who rented vans to under 21s, but I think you'll be lucky to find somewhere. Good Luck though Phil (:
