Friendly links too (I can't use it because to safe mode on). Every member says: link mydomain.info/forums/blogs/member is much more better and easiest to remember than mydomain.info/forums/index.php?automodule=blog&blogid=48&
Feature in ACP:
Turn blogs ON/OFF (Gallery has this one).

I mean, let's take a look at this topic: http://forums.invisi...howtopic=271190, a lot of people are suggesting that IP Blog is not used as widely as it could be is because it has to be integrated with Board. To be honest, if people are on a forum they aren't *really* going to need blogging features, they can just use the forums.
Also in that topic someone says that Nexus has (or can have) blog and gallery capabilities - or it seems even if that's not *quite* how it's designed, people are going to want to use Nexus for blogging or to display galleries of images.
It seems silly that there are blog and gallery components for board and Nexus can be manipulated for those purposes too. It seems to me to make more sense that they be standalone applications that can be Converged.
So that way you wouldnt have Ip.Blog being more bloated with stuff it might not need.

I'm not going to delve into specific future plans at this point and in this topic, but standalone solutions are in the future. That's not what this topic is about, however. Let's not further derail the conversation but rather focus on features and enhancements - consider component vs standalone irrelevant.

This is currently done via a mod, but having a "view my blog/Gallery" under you avatar on your posts within the forum will draw more attention to it and entice people to create a blog or invite them to view others.
Blog Homepage
This should probably be more intended in the blogs section but, having the blogs section more user friendly with the homepage having a "featured blog"/"latest blog" (admin specified) - and a list of latest blog entries (or just blogs) under it..etc would be more enticing rather than just a list.
Blog Alerts/Subscribers
Allow members to subscribe to your blog so they get alerts via pm or email (perhaps RSS) of when it is updated (The user subscribing can choose which method)
Gallery Integration
Not sure if this is currently available, but having your album or random image from that persons gallery sitting within a content block?

1. Blog / Gallery links under users' avatars on IPB, if they have a blog or gallery.
2. A blog section on the board index view. Similar to "Board Statistics" except this tells us the latest blog entries! And this section can be arranged either at the top or bottom of the board index.
3. Blog import. Many users utilize other blog services. Simply letting them link externally is not enough! Allow IP.Blog to import RSS/ATOM from other blog services.
4. Custom header and colors. Let our users define their own custom header and colors for their blog.
5. Custom content blocks. Let our users create their own custom content blocks for their sidebar(s).
6. Cross-posting between IP.Board and IP.Blog. Allow IP.Blog users to post a blog entry as a thread in a forum. Or vise-versa, mark a forum thread as their own personal blog entry. This way REPLIES to the thread become like COMMENTS to their blog entry.
7. Delete blog. Let users delete their own blog.
8. RSS. The "Syndicate All Blogs" link is a FULL TEXT feed. Please provide an option to syndicate just headlines, or a partial text feed.
9. Admin Mass Edit Ping/Trackbacks. Ping and trackback spam is a problem. Let admins mass delete this data.
10. Images. Add better management for uploading/resizing/aligning images.
11. Social bookmarks. Implementing ShareThis makes this simple.
12. Recent Visitors. Add content block so we can see recent visitors to our blog. Should be easy to do since there's a feature like this in people's IPB profiles.
13. Tagging System. It's fairly well known that IPB 3.0 will implement tagging. So why not add tagging to IP.Blog as well! And PLEASE let the two work TOGETHER. So related forum topics and blogs can be linked. Throw gallery into the mix as well.
14. Community Blog List. Don't have specific feedback, but make the front page of IP.Blog more attractive! Perhaps more options for sorting or displaying the blog list.
15. BEST FOR LAST! IPS should develop a plugin that connects WordPress and IP.Board via Converge, and sell this for the same price as IP.Blog. I would buy it. And trust me, so would LOTS of other people. I don't think this would detract from IP.Blog. Those who still want a more integrated blog/forum experience can use it. And those who want to share the IPB member database with WordPress can do so.

I think he means more blogs per user account, IE user could have more than 1 blog or a setting in the ACP could restrict this.

If this is releasing alongside IPB 3.0, that may be 10 years from now, by the way.
