Is it possible to "merge" two databases? Basically merge members from one IPB forum into another, without them having to re-register? I am thinking of taking over a community and moving their members over to my forum when I get it all set up. I just wanted to know if IPB does this. Wouldn't it cause User ID Conflicts?
Database Merge?

I believe IPS does offer a paid merge service, although the specifics will need a staff member to answer for you

We do offer a merger service if you are interested. It's a pretty straightforward thing and is not too expensive if you want us to do it. Just email [email protected] for a proper quote

Alright thank you.
Two more questions:
1) Will you have a demo / preview of IP.Nexus anytime soon? I have seen the video, but would like to play around with it myself for a few hours.
2) If I would like to move a forum from the root folder to a subdomain... (forums.mysite.com) Could this be the done with your merge service? Basically I am in the process of changing domains and such

1) More information will be available after the release of IP.Board 3.
2) You can do this already without the merger service.
Our tech support can assist you if you submit a ticket. But yes, if you wished to do this at the time of the merger, then it could be done then.
