I just purchased and installed IPB3. However, I would like a portal page as my home page What are my options?
1. Is there a generic portal feature/plug-in that comes with IPB for me to download and install?
2. Is there a 3rd party portal mod for me to download and install?
3. Can I use CCS as my portal page?
4. Can I use CCS as my home page?

Basically, yes to all of them

- There is a very simple portal built into IPB. It shows a feed from a forum you choose, and shows online users, latest posts etc. on a sidebar.
- 3rd party portals are available as modifications
- CCS can be a portal if you wish, but it doesn't assume anything. You would have to code a layout for it yourself, but it can do all the gathering of data and so forth
