The easiest way to explain what it does... it lets you create a body page in HTML, php or BBCode. It will then place the header/footer for IP.Board around that, creating what is an integrated page. You can set permissions based on IP.Board permissions who can view what, etc. You also aren't bound by IP.Boards structure, you can put something outside of it.

I do not have anything on a production site that I can show here. However you can see on the test forum an idea of how it works.

IP.Board Base URL: http://www.pcxdesigns.com/dev/ipb3/
Example of CCS with IP.Board Wrapper: http://www.pcxdesign...age/test/page00

Same example but through different URL: http://www.pcxdesign...php/test/page00

If you notice the URL it is missing the forum directory which was ipb3. With this you can place these pages technically anywhere within your server. You just need to provide the path to the IP.Board Forum directory. So if you had a forum directory for the forum, but lets say you wanted to build a static page called "art" or even "reviews" but have it be somewhere else you could do that fairly easily.

It can be as simple or complex as you want. I am showing simple examples, done through the BBCode editor. You can also build it from base HTML or even php.

You can build blocks that IP.Board uses and use them on your page. You don't have to use the IP.Board Wrapper, but could develop something with just the header. Something like:
http://www.pcxdesign...t-Filename.html

"Words can completely change their meaning depending on the mind of the listener. They can change into good ones or into bad. Some words cannot be conveyed. What one thinks is good will not always lead to good results."

--------------------------

"May you have the hindsight to know where you've been, the foresight to know where you're going, and the insight to know when you're going too far." - - - Irish Toast

Will add one more to the list.

Last Strike Gaming

work in progress, but coming along very nicely. The power of CCS allows me to setup variuos sections to be themed in different designs and our members just love that whole idea.

I've only just started it, but I'm building the new home page for the AvP fan site in CCS (nearly typed CSS again, lol).

So far it only has a home page with a forum feed, which would when live be the news forum feed.

Eventually, it'll have login in the header, forum stats, recent threads, AvP stats pages like the current home page, and more info pages.

well if you really want to see an example of what CCS is and what it does then i'm working on one as we speak it can be found here as for the forums there's no immediate plans for that but if push comes to shove then i may use it

but for now have a look anyway.

oh note: it may look alittle light for the next few day's but that's because i'm grabbing information and integration codes to link into it

I use CCS. Just my site is very simple. Nothing fancy to it at all like the rest of the those sites.

I'm very busy lately with 2 jobs and now currently involved with someone
so I may not always be available for bug fixes right away, but I will try my best to do what I can if another issue arises.
If anyone needs any help on an issue, please do not PM directly about one of my mods. Please use the support topic for questions and suggestions.

OK finished aliensvspredator.net, I'm really excited about CCS, the site is using all IPB stuff. I really like how you can make your main site more tied into the community now really easily! I probably spent about 15 hours on it total.

Might as well post it here as it's being requested.

The entire 'Featured', 'Versus FM' and 'Playbook' sections of my site are created with CCS. All the other sections are either Board, Gallery, Blog or Downloads. The Versus FM and Playbook sections are offline from public viewing.

Featured page: Click. The theme is modified from Community by having clever template logic in the actual IPB skin. Same with the other sections (which you won't be able to view) The content is created with a hidden forum with topics for the articles and a forum feed (or two) to split them into what you see on screen. Articles are categorised by a special code in the topic description (cat:|:http://link_to_image.png). I'm then using some PHP functions to split it to get everything working as it should.

:)
