I agree this would be useful. I never follow my own blog comments and certainly never go back to other people's blogs to see if someone replied to a comment I left.
It would need to link directly to the comment on the blog page, not just a link to the top of the blog like the "Last Comments" link does.
There is a recent blog comments block in ip.content. It's pretty useful, though it only links to the top of the blog page.

Agreed, this is needed....
What happens if somebody spams an old blog, we arent going to know they have done this unless the latest comments on blogs are shown on the main forum page, like it does for recent topic....

It would be great!!!
I asked for that block also in the post here in my blog and t3xt3's mod ( Nikosf and I, we have the same IPBoard in Greece.)
...Could you please help us build a list that contains the latest 20-25 comments in blogs?
We don't need a list for each blog, we need a list with the blogs that have a new comment, in a chronological order.
This list will be in the right side in blog's main page.
The list should contain the username of the user that wrote the comment, the title of the blog where the comment was written and date & time that the comment was written.
For example:
"Username1" wrote a comment in "blog's name1" at 2.30am, 24-10-2009
"Username2" wrote a comment in "blog's name2" at 2.45am, 24-10-2009
"Username1" wrote a comment in "blog's name3" at 2.47am, 24-10-2009
"Username3" wrote a comment in "blog's name1" at 2.48am, 24-10-2009
Please, please....
In that way all the members of the community can see where are the latest hot conversations.

You know, what I have done, EvieKounavie? I have bought IP.Content. There you can create a block, which can pull the last comments of every blog. But I don't know how to get this block into the hook sidebar of the board index. I have created an extra page with all sorts of "recent" informations and now I'm happy with it.

If you have IP.Content you can already do this
Create a new feed block, select Blog as the source, then Comments for the type, and set the key to "blog_comment_feed". Next, go to Look & Feel in your ACP, select your skin, then in the template list open "(Blog) Listing", and open the "blogIndexPage" bit. In that template, find <!-- Sort options -->, and just before it, enter {parse block="blog_comment_feed"}
Done

Perfect solution!
I'll try to create that block as soon as I get IP.Content.
Thank you both T3XT3 and Rikki.
