You can create groups that have much more privileges and rights. Make your members pay to be part of these groups.

The Subscriptions manager makes transactions easier. I'm using it on my board and I love it.

IP.Subscriptions is available for free to all license holders. You can download it from your client area.

Do you have an active IP.Board license? You're not showing up here as having an active license, which would explain why you wouldn't have access to download IP.Subscriptions.

If in doubt, your best option is to submit a ticket to account assistance. We can only speculate here, where-as customer service can obviously look at your account to see what the real deal is.

I like the idea, i've downloaded this but need help with the following question.

I would like to force every new member to pay for a subscription,
I would not like to have to charge every existing member.

I would like to do this as a deterrent to multiple account registration.

Currently, if I enable all new members to get a subscription, all existing members need to pay.

Can you help?

Please post these issues in our support forums - The presales area is not the correct spot for such issues.

It's no longer an official produce being supported by IPS.  They've handed it over to me, you can download it in the IPS Marketplace:

Version for IP.Board 3.2: http://community.inv...ons-manager-32/
Version for IP.Board 3.0 & 3.1: http://community.inv...ons-manager-31/

Apologies to dig this topic up, i found it whilst doing my due diligence and searching on google.

IPBoard offers a subscription manager where you can charge to upgrade?

Then what is IPNexus for because that too offers subscriptions? if someone could please clarify if i need IPNexus to charge for a subscription account that would be greatly appreciated

Correct. The subscriptions modification that Michael mentioned will do exactly that.

IP.Nexus is an e-commerce application that allows you to have Subscriptions just like that mod, but also has a number of other features to sell physical goods, virtual goods, advertisement packages, etc.

Ma. tt, I have been using Michael's Subscription Manager mod for a long time. I do not recall ever having an issue with it, not one.

Subsc has many features, is very user friendly, and, quite frankly, should be a paid for modification. But, Michael makes it available to active license holders of IPB, for free.
