Blocking IP ranges

Right now it's possible to block a single IP and an 'IP range' using 192.168.2.* or similar, but there is no (easy) way to block the IP range 192.168.2.1 - 192.168.77.255 for instance.

Could this be done?

Generally speaking if you want to use more indepth CIDR (although it would be nice to use in IPS :P) it's best to do this with a firewall

Yeah, I mean for performance reasons you should use iptables or similar. Even .htaccess would be better than trying to do this at the PHP level.
