While I like getting responses from the people working for the company behind IPBoard, I would like to get first hand user experiences with IPBoard before I look further into it.

Each product has it's pros and cons. But over all I do like the IPS suite. You first have to know what you want to do and how each product will help you do what you want it do to. Also the IPS Marketplace has mods and such that will help to expand features in the software. IPS staff here do get back to you in a timely manner. But I do say one thing you should have knowable of what your doing first and all, as the documentation is still not up to par with lower level novices, that getting work on. Hope this helps. good luck.

I will repeat the information that I just posted on another thread below/above
I would also add that the level of support is excellent - if you are new to forums, this can be invaluable, often this support will come from fellow users who have found the answer to your question previously.
If you have any specific questions - just fire away or use the forum search above to look up keywords in this forum for previous answers.

I have been running forums for around 13 or 14 years. I can honestly say that with all the additional options IPB offers the most comprehensive experience that I have known.
Although I have not run phpBB I have run VB, FusionBB, UBB, UBB.Threads amongst others and are not aware of any other product on the market that could keep my users happy.
It is not perfect - but what is in life - but for $149 you could do a lot worse!

At the least, an administrator should be comfortable with html coding and css editing to make basic changes.
Documentation is spotty but support is quite helpful.
