Hello,
I'm julien, a french digital artist & engineer.
I'm running designthemedia.com, and own a license for ip.boards, content, chat & downloads.
I'm looking for the perfect shop cms/system.
I tested the awful magento. powerful but actually I don't want to put someone 24/24 7/7 to administer it.
I'm actually using prestashop, a very nice solution but not as much pro as I waited.
So, I'm naturally here to know more about nexus.
I have a little list of criteria which I need absolutely, here they are:
- bundle management
- digital product upgrade possible (I mean : you bought the v1.2 of my software. the v1.5 is released, you are warned about that and you can access and download the new version without any action of the administrator!)
- subscriptions to premium with auto-inscription to premium group who access to special forums, special content, special prices etc!
- paypal + credit card possible
- design customization
- product categories
- coupon code possible
- url encryption for video content for instance (I want to sell video on demand : you buy a ticket, you can use a particular content 3 or 5 times / another product: you buy a subscription, you can see this or that content for a month........... in each case, you cannot grab the vidéo link to see the video outside of the payment/subscription system)
- pdf stamping (you buy a pdf tutorial, the system should be able to tag the pdf itself with a mention like "this pdf is licensed only for John Doe, j@doe.com")
any experiencies? workaround ?
or maybe, nexus doesn't fit that.
all the best,
gluon

Nexus should fit your bill. I only use it to sell physical products so I don't know about the digital side. But I'm fairly sure it can do all that (not sure about the last two though).
Either way, you won't be disappointed as it's constantly being updated. I asked for a feature to be added once, and Mark e-mailed me back asking for my opinion on the implementation of it, which you don't often get from developers. So if you're looking for a product that integrates perfectly with you other IP products, is constantly updated, is fast and secure, then you can't go wrong with Nexus.

In the fear and alarm. You did not desert me. My brothers in arms.
