Google is an Open ID Provider, so that's already available.

Aye, there's a rather simple document you need to follow to enable OpenID etc

there was an actual mod for this which went beyond the openid
dont know if still has a current status

was hoping that it would be added to core alongside twitter/facebook as at the time google had more members than facebook

Actually this is pre-sales, and he was asking if the product has a feature not support

Can someone explain how this works? Couldn't get it to work with any of the instructions I found on the internet. What Open-ID-URL do I need to use?

IPB is being easy, they should hard code it in place

yes, like FB and Twitter bar at the login, their should be a rectangular bar for Google Too.

Whilst I agree that it should be standard and built-in, the best place for suggestions is on the feedback forum - http://community.inv...um/298-ipboard/

They will simply get lost in a pre-sales forum that get's wiped every so often.
