Hi, just a short basic question: is it possible to post anonymously in a specific forum within IPB?

It's not a built in feature, although I think there might be an application / hook around to do it, I've seen this for previous versions.
Enabling guest posting is one work around, but there is nothing "built in" to do it, as its not a commonly requested feature.

Ok, Thank you for your quick reply. How is actually guest posting working, is there for instance some forum where i could see it live?

Not live no, but I can show you two screenshots of posting a new topic as a guest.
