Considering transferring to IPS

1) Will all of my threads, posts, and members transfer from Vbulletin to IPS? Post counts as well?
2) Are templates easy to add/edit? Is it all code or is there a template manager to help us out?
3) Is there any speed difference between IPS and Vbulletin? Or is it the same?
Thanks everyone.

Hi,
1) Yes, your members, threads, posts, will be transferred over ok.
2) Yes, Ipb has a very easy to understand templating system that you can modifiy it to your needs with ease.
3) In my personal opinion Ipb has a much better speed/loading performance than vB.

2) IPB has a template manager that can be used to create, manage, and export themes.
3) A lot of it depends on the design and modifications added. I generally find a vanilla IPB install to be zippier than the default vB install.

How simple was the conversion?

They will also install the forum software free if you wish, prior to you converting.
However it is fairly straight forward, but if you get issues we are here to help.
When you convert you will convert to a new database/location so your existing site is untouched - however I would still strongly suggest having a full backup. I did a couple of test runs prior to converting for real, the second of which I opened up to members to test out and pass comments back. Do dry runs can make the live conversion less confusing and takes away some of the worry of 'will it work'.

Hopefully smoothly.
Support so far has been very responsive and helpful.
Good luck.
