Hello All,

Does IP.Nexus allow community members to sell their products on the forum?

Thanks

No, unfortunately it does not. There is an addon, however, called Classifieds.

The addon will do the trick!

Yes, but this will cost you another investment and depending of third party keep updating versions being compatibile with the new versions of IPS products and of course additional fees.So it's not worth it, only if you are desperately.

In past I suggested to IPS to implement this in IP.Nexus.It is a useful feature.I wonder why not implemented till now.

Whether the application is worth it is your call to make but if it's any re-assurance I have absolutely no plans to drop support for this application and it is very much still in active development.

Ok, but it'll be a time when there is a possibility that you maybe drop this. What happens then?Does someone offer a guarantee that the addon will be updated. What happens then with all the project we created till then, we'll be forced to close or find other addon that does this.
That's why I hate the third party alternatives, they don't offer a guarantee that will have a lifetime compatibility with the IPS products.
And I'm speaking from my experience, I had addons that were no longer supported.

PS:No heart feelings but this is my opinion regarding third party addons.

Best regards!

so wait... because the mod author spends the time and energy to not only make the base code, AND bugfix and keep it updated... and because its not "Official" that work and energy is completely discounted??
you have a fairly skewed view of "Third-Party", you are aware of this right?

Unfair criticism of a legitimate concern. For whatever reason, third party developers come and go, as do their applications and many a user may be left high and dry.

Yes, Some do... Some... but with that attitude instead of use of good judgment, the core would become a bloated mess... rather than needs being met by the modding community.... Why exactly Does a core product need something an APP updated and maintained by a respected modder does already?... things like that(ideas(props Andy) integrated to core) discourage modders.... he put in that work and you suggest it is irrelevant because its "Third-party"... say it gets integrated to the core of this app... well then all of Andy's hard work becomes null....
That attitude exacerbates the problem... how upset would You be if months of Your work was absorbed into the core?
upset enough to walk away? possibly.... perfect example... IceLabz sitemap generator... IP.SEO.
Said attitude ENCOURAGES modders to take their leave.... not at all helpful.

Would also like to note this attitude seems more prevalent on paying mods... because the author wants recompense for the time investment the instant attitude is: "It should be in a core app so I don't have to pay for that additional work separately"... if I may ask... why? if its free then its "okay" to be third-party, but heaven help the modder that wants recompense for the effort expended?

Wait, I'm getting some contradictory information.

I thought IP.Nexus could connect with Downloads to achieve the "Marketplace" feature you see here, which would allow community members to sell their products on the forum?

IP.Downloads and IP.Nexus can integrate together to achieve the same effect you see here, in our Marketplace.

THAT is true, but I believe the OP refers to physical goods, which is something downloads, by its very nature cannot handle.
