Hello,

Just a question about the EULA, it reads:

Quote

You may not:
* modify the software to function in more than instance or location (URL, domain, subdomain, etc.) from a single set of source program files unless each location is separately licensed

Does that mean that I can't hack the software so that:

The forum (ip.board) runs in forums.domain.com
The gallery mod (ip.gallery) runs in gallery.domain.com
IP content runs in domain.com

And so on? I know that I would need to buy ip.board, ip.gallery and ip.content, but it running the addons in their own subdomain.

Hi,

I think the wording is so that you cannot run a copy of IP.Board in both domain.com and forums.domain.com.

As far as I know there would be no issue with doing as you propose, although I am not sure the cookies would function over multiple domains.

Hi,

What you propose would be fine - each piece of software has it's own license, so the board could be accessed from one subdomain and your gallery could be accessed from another without issue.

FYI, IP.Content already has the ability to run from another subdomain or folder.
