Hello

I just found that I cannot use blog on my forum due complete mess up the people publish entries, then remove, edit or delete at any time just total mess including lots of spam entries that look innocent at the beginning.

Would it possible to set preventive mechanism so it stop deletion or edition after specific time (i.e.20 min) like it possible to do on the forum board.


Would be common sence to allow entries editing while they are in the draft folder, but once they moved to public they should not be allowed to be edited or removed

I seem to recall this could be done via a hook. I did post some quick skin edits up to prevent entry deletion a while back in Blog support as someone requested it although a custom hook would no doubt suffice.

I would like to see some kind of edit entry limit imposed though myself, even if its the same editing time limit as the forum settings.

Yes that would be good if some setting would apply time limit on editing and deleting the entry or once the entry move out from the draft folder which seems to be logical.

What would make sense would be for all apps to follow the settings set for the forum. If edit time on forums are set to something like 5 minutes, then all apps should adhere to that setting unless hacked differently.

I cannot believe there is no option for this on the blogs. It makes no sense. As an admin, I do not want to have to look through all the blogs periodicly to make sure no one is editing their old blog entries with spam, copyrighted stuff, porn, illegal material, or other junk that could harm our community. How is an admin to monitor old blogs easier?
