I recently contacted the service desk to resolve this question: How to use a Content Block to display Google Adsense in Blog?

Basically I wanted to add Google adsense code to a content block but the system kept displaying the code as text instead of running the javascript.

I was informed that I could not use javascript in most places in IPB for security reasons and that I would have to add it to the skin. As a workaround, I was suggested to add an iframe to the content block and load an external file with the adsense.

The suggestion worked but I find it strange that the IPB forum allows javascript to be entered into the adcode integration system but the IPB Blog doesn’t allow the same javascript to be entered in a block.

In any case, I hope that one day the Blog also has an adcode integration system.
