Hi There - this is not (I suppose) a pre-sales, but couldnt find another topic !

We're looking at upgrading (finally) from .1.3 to latest version, however we have a couple of questions/concerns..

We are running a custom skin - which I understand and accept, we will lose - however, as part of the upgrade, what else will we lose ?

We have mods like ipbEconomy which we've been running for nearly a year, and I'd hate to lose this during the upgrade...also, and this probably sounds a bit noobish - but I take it posts/threads/avatars etc will all be safe after upgrade ?

Thanks in advance - we're just a bit nervous about losing over 2million posts lol

You do not have to worry about loosing your posts, topics, members and all the other important settings. The upgrade does not erase any data. Also, before you upgrade, it would be best to do a full backup of your database, and forum files too.

About the custom hooks/aplications/mods etc, some will work with the 3.2x and some will not. About the ipbEconomy I can not say as I do not use it, but most coders have released a 3.2x version of their work as well. So all you have to do if they will not work with the 3.2x version, is to upgrade them too. But for more info about it, you can ask at their appropriate support topics/forums.

You won't loose anything, but your modifications and skins will not work properly if they are not compatible with 3.2. You should try going to the IPS marketplace, search for the modifications you use currently, and look if they are updated for 3.2.
