Hi,
I'm new to all this, but I'm looking to start possibly a forum and came across this product. Another product that kind of peaked my interest was a program called NING. It would be a small community focusing on comics and video games. What would you guys say are the best features of this software and do you feel that anything is lacking?

A division within our company has a ning site and it didn't work out well due to a lack on control over the site in general.

When you say control, do you mean in the operation/set up or controlling how users interact with it?

Lool, feel, operational, backup and moving your site to another server of software maker, etc.
If you're going this as a long term project, go with IPS and you won't regret it.
