Shopping cart extended to .. IP.Downloads too ?
Posted 18 February 2012 - 06:18 PM
I'm using ip.downloads to sell my files. it works fine.
some customers want to buy 5 or 6 files BUT they don't want to make 5 or 6 paypal transactions.
I know we can have a shopping cart with all products in the store (I mean directly inside nexus)
How can I do that with ip.downloads ?
I posted that to the support area.
Jason adviced me to post it here.

I think a basket for the downloads system is a MUST. No one will want to keep going through payment system everytime they want to get a file. They MUST be able to add what they want to a basket and just have to checkout once.
Please add a basket feature :-)

A tighter integration with IP.Downloads and IP.Nexus would be nice.
Making paid files available in the store would be especially useful so users only have to go to one place to buy things...

Is this in 4.0? It's a critical missing feature of the current version.

Is this going into 4.0? I've been researching some free alternatives and it looks like I can save some money getting rid of IP.Downloads if the IP.Nexus integration continues to need serious improvement.
I'd hate to lose the integration, but I need an e-commerce solution that works for ebooks. And this integration is... very sub-optimal at this point.

We have not announced any changes for either IP.Downloads OR IP.Nexus in 4.0. I'm afraid I can't answer your questions at this time. When information becomes available, we will blog about it.
