I payed for my license via CC, but still not approved, only been 12 hours I know, but still looking to convert my community this weekend, and it requires testing etc ...

Is it possible to switch to Paypal, and if so would it verify automatically then ?

Purchases are manually confirmed before they are finalized, so changing the payment method wouldn't help. Unless someone from billing or management decides to check in and approve some purchases, it's unlikely you'll be able to get your community converted before Monday. If you want to test out certain things with the software itself, I recommend signing up for the demo and using that until your purchase is approved.

All payments are checked manual, to stop fraude. But since there is limited support in weekends, can it take longer for your payment to get validated.

Using PayPal doesnt change this.

As above, changing the method would not likely reduce the delay as they are all screened. Having said that a member of Billing / Management is usually around over the weekend so its quite possible you may get it approved before Monday.

Thank you for your patience. :)

Very disappointed in the verification process, not that it has to be done, but the lack of support on weekends. I don't know about everyone else, but this is my hobby and passion, I work during the weekdays and rarely have time required to migrate. At the very least payment verifications should be given a TOP PRIORITY, not a minor priority. I have done many online purchases, INCLUDING purchases of a larger amount for servers. They have never taken more than 12 hours to verify. I for one believe that a CLEAR warning should be provided BEFORE making a purchase on a weekend or Friday night, that it will most likely not be verified until Monday. This is a -1 to my experience with IPB and I hope it does not go down hill any further.

Why should you be disappointed? Most company's are closed in weekend, and IPS is also a company so it is there right to take weekends free.

Hello
I'm also not very happy with this situation. I really wanted to work in a non-working hoursover the entire board, but cant do it ... because manual confirmation. All you have done well, except for the buying process ... Safety first, but conscientious consumers are suffering from many expectations.

You seem new to working on line ? getting upset over the speed things happen on line will eat you up if you do not learn to float with it and chill, this wont be the last time by a long shot that you have online delays, and IPB are one of the very best customer service Dept's I have have come across on line, sure you did not know about the don't book any thing on Friday rule around here, but getting past that your going to be one happy puppy here.

As noted on our website, all orders are subject to hold until the payment clears to prevent fraud.

Generally, this happens within a few hours, however, on weekends, it can be delayed. We ask that you please allow upto 2 business days for your payment to clear. Thank you for your patience.

If you have any specific billing issues related to your order or your account, please feel free to email [email protected] so we can assist you.

There are multiple departments and each has it's own staffing. Payments are not given a lower priority than other tickets. If they were all handled by all of the employees, then I would hope that existing clients would get some sort of a priority instead of being treated like royalty during purchase but then like trash after purchase. After all, if priority goes all to sales, then when do existing clients get any attention? See where I'm coming from? It's their wonderful support that keeps clients renewing their licenses and as a result keeps them in business. Without it, clients would leave and IPS would fail miserably.

Just so you know, I've had to go through the waiting part of the process myself, even for renewals. I think waiting for payments to be validated is a small price to pay in return for IPS being able to cut down on fraud. There are people who will make a purchase with a hacked/stolen account or CC just to download a piece of software (or they make a legit purchase and then do a charge back). They don't care that they are stealing the product from a company, they only care about themselves. What happens when they do that is that the source of the payment gets reversed and the company (in this case IPS) is out of the money that they were paid/promised in return for the product supplied. By doing fraud checks, the number of times this happens gets reduced and those wanting to steal the product are less successful in their attempts. Without the fraud check, I imagine that the company would eventual fail because everyone would be grabbing 'paid' copies of the software with fake payments or charge backs and with no income, the company wouldn't be able to afford to continue development.

In short, it's a necessary evil, but one that you will appreciate when you see how great the support here is.
