Instead of having to manually upload a thumbnail/image for every download. Could a future update allow the option to have one of these features?
a) thumbnail per category?
b) limited selection of public images saved on the server
c) reference photos from a public gallery (eg: icon gallery)

Though this is not a "badly needed feature", i think it helps organization when files reach a high quantity and user are looking at a random list of new or featured files. They will distinguish files faster than seeing a random thumbnails that uploaders provide..

This will also save space on a forum that will eventually have 1,000+ files. Instead of storing thousands of images, there will only be as much images as categories. Is this hard to implement?

I would throw a few bucks their way too. Right now I can even edit thumbnails for files that didn't have one originally.
