With the thousands of things we have to remember during upgrade there are a few that could be removed from an admin's to do list...
An ACP setting for these should be presented and displayed so that the admin doesn't have to hunt them down.
1. Favicon - shows the icon and allows you to upload your custom one.
2. meta image - you know the one that is shown to the world on FB and the like.
usually after you upgrade it's bad form to find out days or weeks later when you come across a post by someone on these external sites that display the IPS banner logo.
I for one wish that the shipping icons were designed force the admin to change them this includes the main logo...
something like YOUR FORUM TITLE ---- YOUR FIRM NAME HERE or YOUR WEBSITE ----
And an ACP warning should appear on the dashboard --- your site is LIVE with PLACEHOLDER logos & images.. click here to correct the issue.
Retain certain images across upgrades

Fantastic suggestion!
The discussion of meta image, in particular, has come up many times.

There's already a setting for the Facebook meta image, there's no reason why that can't be maintained during upgrades. And as for the favicon, just don't overwrite it when you upload.
