Hi,

So far I've resisted the adding of a Blog facility to my IPB, as I feel if members are always writing in their Blog, they will not be contributing as much to forum posts, or starting as many topics.

I was wondering if this is the case, and if there are any downsides to adding a Blog?

I have not noticed any downside effects to the blog feature.
Blog posts are mostly about personal related subjects and within the forum my users write about forum related topics. So there is not really an issue.
