I am using IP.Content to drive a frequently updated news site where a team of people write articles which are then approved by an 'editor' so the world at large can see them.

I have an issue in after a post is approved, they can still be edited by people without the approve permission, which isn't great as it effectively gives a way to circumvent the approval 'quality control'.

A more sensible option was that edit permissions only applied to unapproved posts if they user doesn't have approve permissions.

Thanks,

P

I can see where you are coming from, but that would be very inconsistent with the rest of the suite.

Will have a think about this.

It's not a good user experience for them to hit 'submit' on an article and it just 'disappear'! :)

If you submit a topic and it requires moderator approval, it 'disappears' does it not? :) Just saying, that part of the process is modeled after the forums. I'll think about writers vs editors a bit more with the next release.

Hmmm, I don't know, because we don't have any moderator-approval forums. If so, then that is broken too. ;)

It would be great to have an option to waiting edition approval by member of staff

My website is about à music band, and we have a Lyrics section. We would like to autorize members to edit songs to add traduction. But, we would like to approve the traductions....

It's the same for my Tour section. Members will edit tour date to add the setlist of the show. But we would like to approve the modifications

Do you think this feature can be add in futur version ?

Thanks
