With reference to this, I've noticed that it's the same 'feature' in 3.3.1.
Not user friendly, wast time by clicking on a link to a place when there is no content.
Suggestion: Only display blog-icon if it is content in the blog. Users with blog that's only created, not used, should not have the icon.
