By default in source/api/api_idm.php, the sort by is set to 'file_submitted DESC'
And if you use a lot the 'version' functionality of ip downloads, you will never see the new version of files you'll upload.
Why not sort by 'file_updated DESC’ ?

Are you using this API somewhere yourself? If so, you can pass in a custom order parameter to change it to "file_updated DESC"
