I have no idea what percentage of Invision customers are using Sphinx for their searches, but for those of us that are, a couple small-ish tweaks would let us leverage the power of that engine. First, it would be great to allow sorting by relevance (Sphinx can calculate this in a number of different ways). Second, it would be nice to allow users to use the advanced Sphinx search syntax, instead of dumbing everything down to use "AND"s or "OR"s.

Being able to add weight to particular fields would make a huge difference for us:

It should work with same search syntax as Google search, to make it easy for the users.

How do you set that up in Sphinx?
