There is no way to have a product with a one-time expiring payment and a product with a recurring paypal payment if you enable paypal subscriptions.

Once you enter the renewal date it is forcing recurring payments.

So how do you...

Premium Membership
1 year $30 one-time
1 month $3 billed monthly

?

There is no way to do this currently, unless I am missing something.

And per-product billing options is sorely needed creating a new product to add a billing option creates so much clutter.

No they are invoiced and pay again. But this is not an option if you enable paypal subscriptions.

If you enable it for one product it assumes you want it on all products that have an expiry date.

If you don't enable it they get an invoice but the paypal subscriptions if off globally. It should not be a global switch.

IP.Nexus 1.5 will have a solution for this :)

In 1.5, you can set which packages use which payment methods - you would then create 2 PayPal methods, one with subscriptions enabled and one with subscriptions disabled. You could then only select the method you want for each product.

Thanks for this info this will work much better.

Okay cool. So it will work like this?

Product A - I can turn PS on and this will force a subscription and not give them the option to buy once.
Product B - I can enable a one-time payment w/ an expiration date.
Product C - Not sure, but are you saying I can also have a product where they can choose PS or one-time?

I just bought it but this sounds like what I need so if you had any idea of an ETA, or beta-test version, could you let me know?

Thanks!

That's correct.

We do not have a release date yet - but I'm hoping to get some betas out in the next 2 weeks.

Mark, not seeing how to use paypal subscriptions per package in 1.5.

EDIT: Wait I think I get it now. Have to create another PayPal method, then select. Will try.

Cool. Can select either or both. Nice.
