All the instructions I've seen for converting seem to relate to self-hosted IP forums only.

Other than that, the steps for conversion are the same between self hosted and IPS hosted. The converters are installed just like any other application. You don't need to modify core files, so the encoded files won't cause any problems.

I believe you're only allowed one database on hosted forums. So you'd need to load your PHPBB db into the IPB database with a different prefix.

How do i load the PHPBB db into IPD database? Via PHPmyAdmin?

Hello everyone,
I have purchased a hosted Plan... I want to convert my PHPBB2 to my ISP community.
How should I proceed?
Here are the installation instructions... I don't understand them well...
Thanks!

You're not showing up as an active client... Make sure you're logged in here with the same e-mail / password as you used in the client area. If you are, try logging out of both here and your client area and see if you get placed in the Clients group...

I have received this from ISP :
While we're not able to perform the conversion on your behalf, doing the conversion isn't overly hard.
*** Ok ***
You'd first need to get a backup of the phpBB Database, making sure it contains a "table prefix" ( by default, phpBBuses: phpbb_ ),
*** Done ***
then you'd upload that to your space here with FTP.
*** Where and how ? ***
As well, any user-contributed content such as custom avatars, post attachments, etc, would need to be transferred in a ZIP or RAR file.
*** Ok, don't need it ***
We will put those files in place before the conversion, and import the phpBB database into the IP.Board database, then you'd upload and install the converter scripts and run the conversion.
*** ok ***
