I'm looking to migrate a website and a blog to Invision suite. This will need to be done in two step.
- First i need to migrate my website, Ian suggest to upload Invision suite to a temp folder something like www.mysite.com/Invision
Do what ever i neeed to do using IP content to recreate my existing website. This way i can continue to have my exisitng web running and when i'm ready, move files from www.mysite.com/invision to www.mysite.com to make.
Would like to have feed back from those who have done this, any tricks that i should be aware?
- The next step will be to migrate a blog host on wordpress. For this i was thinking about doing the same thing. Upload invision suite to a temp location like www.mysite.com/wordpress, run the migration to see how things is being tranfert, apply few tweaks to make sure everything come out correctly. Finnaly when read move files to www.mysite.com/blog.
Will i have confilct moving my blog this way in the future since i have already deploy Invision suite of product for my web? Should i run the conversion with the initial phase of my migration and not expose de blog to the visitor while i finish working on it?
Thank you for any feedback and detail workflow
